Situated in the heart of McLennan County, Texas, Waco real estate is highly prized by a number of individuals. This city, hosting a population of over 120,000 individual, has experienced tremendous growth over the years and the real estate market in the area has kept pace astoundingly. The city has the 26th largest population of all
of the cities in Texas, no mean feat in a state brimming with cities with extremely large populations. The city is served by the Waco Regional Airport, which serves as a fly in point for President Bush and First Lady Laura Bush when returning to their Crawford, Texas ranch. Many of the reporters and staffers that accompany the President during these visits choose to remain in the Waco area during their stay.
Located close to the Brazos River, the city covers an area of nearly 96 square miles, more than 10% of which is water. The climate of the city is mild throughout most of the year, although the city's close proximity to water makes the hot summer months somewhat humid. The average high temperature in the summer is about 97ºF while the average high temperature in the winter is about 58ºF. Because the temperature of the city is so agreeable for much of the year, many residents choose to move to the area to enjoy the mild climate and the natural beauty of the area.

Economy

There are numerous industries that fuel the economy of Waco. Many of the individuals that live in the city are also employed by the various businesses located within the city limits. There are also numerous public parks located in various areas around the city, allowing residents to pursue biking, walking, and outdoor sports in safety and surrounded by the beauty of nature.
Because the climate of the area stays so mild during all of the months of the year, residents and their children have plenty of opportunities to pursue outdoor recreation which keeps them healthy and active. The Texas Ranger Hall of Fame Museum is also located within the city. The museum is dedicated to preserving the memory of the Texas Rangers, Texas's legendary law enforcement group which was responsible for the safety of the citizens and the growth of Texas for a long period of time.
