The homes are aligned along attractive, quiet streets and include numerous single family homes, condominiums, and apartments. The median asking price for Victoria homes is around $50,000, with the price of luxury homes being quite a bit
higher than traditional single family homes. Education is very important to the residents of the community and the public school system that serves the community is considered one of the best.

Lifestyle

Many of the residents of the city are especially pleased with the location of the city, which is less that two hours drive away from many of the metropolitan areas in the state of Texas. The metropolitan areas of Austin, Houston, Corpus ChristiCorpus Christi, and San Antonio are all within easy driving distance of Victoria, allowing residents of the city easy access to fine dining and world class entertainment. Each of these major metropolitan areas have numerous entertainment venues, luxury lodgings, dining establishments, and shopping centers, allowing residents of Victoria traveling to these areas to experience all of the benefits of a major metropolitan area while retaining the luxury of a smaller community while at home.
There are also many recreational activities available to residents within the city limits. Residents and visitors alike enjoy a day at the Texas Zoo, located within the 562 acre Riverside Park. The Zoo is the home of more than 200 types of Texan animals and plants, all displayed in amazingly accurate habitats. For outdoor recreation, individuals can walk, bike, or play sports in the numerous parks located throughout the city or play a round of golf in one of the cities three golf courses. The nearby Gulf of Mexico provides residents with an area for water sports, boating, and fishing.
