Goochland, Virginia

Goochland, VA is a historic village located 30 miles from downtown Richmond via I-64 E, and 40 miles from Richmond International Airport. Most famously, Goochland houses historic Tuckahoe, an H-shaped colonial plantation home was that originally built on Goochland real estate in 1723, and a National Historic Landmark. Goochland's own Brightly Bed & Breakfast is also a landmark. This Greek Revival building and former plantation home that was built in Goochland in 1842, and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The main house is encircled by eight dependencies, including a pump house and tobacco barn.
The sporting life in Goochland is rich. Golf is extremely popular, as the area houses both the Sycamore Creek and Royal Virginia golf courses. Goochland is also home to the annual Commonwealth Cup, an annual polo competition. Boating and fishing are popular as well, as the banks of The James River are incredibly close to Goochland homes.
Popular with the Goochland home owners is karaoke Fridays at Rocco's, a family-owned Italian restaurant and local hub.
