The Texas Rose Festival attracts more than 100,000 spectators annually.
There are other industries that also provide employment in the city of Tyler. Brookshire Grocery Company has placed its headquarters in the city, along with its main distribution center. The company operates grocery stores in four states under several business names. A subsidiary dairy producer is located on the southern end of the city and also
employs numerous individuals from the local community. The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. operates a large manufacturing facility in the town, along with two popular air conditioning manufacturers, Trane and Carrier.
