populous city in the state of Texas with a population of more than 220,000. Although the city has experienced a population boom along with large growth, it still aims to retain its small town feel. The city is far enough from Dallas to be sheltered from the hassles of the big city while still being close enough to take advantage of the numerous amenities that the big city has to offer.

The city is located 15 miles northeast of downtown Dallas, which is within easy driving distance for employment, entertainment, or shopping. The climate of the city is considered sub-tropical, meaning that it is mild for much of the year and hot in the summer. The area does not receive much precipitation during the year and the temperature in the winter rarely goes beneath 40ºF.
