General Information

The city is home to the headquarters of Helen of Troy Limited, which produces the following product lines: Vidal Sassoon, Sunbeam, Dr. Scholl's, and OXO. The oil industry also has a large presence in the area, the same as many cities in Texas. Wrangler and Spira Footwear have corporate headquarters located within the city limits and employ a number of individuals from the local community. The education industry provides a great deal of jobs for the area in the city's three main school districts and the university located in the city. Many teachers and professors choose to purchase El Paso real estate because they are fairly certain of obtaining and retaining a position in their chosen field.

Lifestyle

The city of El Paso has many things to offer to residents and visitors alike. Aside from the great historical significance of the area, the city also offers many cultural attractions as well. From ballet performances to works of art to entertainment

The public parks provide a place for individuals to enjoy nature and relax, with many featuring playgrounds, picnic areas, and trails for walking, running, or biking. There are also public pools available for the residents of the city to use at their discretion. Because the climate of the city remains mild for much of the year, residents of the city can pursue outdoor activities year round. The libraries in the city house thousands of volumes and provide many other amenities as well, including computer labs, internet access, and media rentals.
