Indian Hills, Colorado

The town of Indian Hills, Colorado is in Jefferson County and sits in the Denver Aurora Metropolitan area. Indian Hills is a small mountain community with pine forests, flowery meadows, great wildlife and a variation of elevations between 6,500 to 8,500 feet. The town used to be a summer camping ground for the Ute Indians. Presently, however, it is home to around 1500, and has been a residential area for more than a hundred years.

A Little History on Indian Hills

The place where the town stands was first known as the North Fork of Turkey Creek. During the mid 1800s, it was then known as Parmalee Gulch, named after John D. Parmalee, one of the earliest settlers in town.
