Chesterfield, Virginia

Chesterfield is home to some of the most beautiful real estate in Central Virginia. Chesterfield County is equidistant from Virginia Beach and the District of Columbia, and it is serviced by Chesterfield airport, as well as Richmond International, which is just 20 minutes away. Chesterfield, with its semi-rural character and luxury homes, is less than 15 minutes from the hustle and bustle of downtown Richmond via the Chippenham and Powhite Parkways, and yet it feels like a world away.
Driving through Chesterfield, there is something breathtaking about its tree-lined roads, dotted with historic plantation homes and rural churches. Among these notable landmarks is Wood's Church, a house of worship that was built in 1707 and is currently celebrating its 300th year. Chesterfield is bordered by the James River to the north and the Appomattox River to the south. On the Western edge of Chesterfield is Pocahontas State Park, an outdoorsman's haven which includes bass fishing on the 156 acres of Swift Creek Lake. Another hot spot for anglers is the freshwater tidal lagoon at the 800-acre Dutch Gap Conservation Area. Boating is popular, and Chesterfield locals are always a presence at the Head of The James Regatta in neighboring Midlothian.
Chesterfield Berry Farm is a much-loved destination for family events, including seasonal hay rides and the annual Harvest Festival, and NASCAR fans root for hometown hero Denny Hamlin. Chesterfield is known for its beautiful properties and amazing public schools, and has a reputation for safety and for having a low key atmosphere. There is a lot of buzz about Chesterfield throughout Central Virginia, and it's not uncommon for Richmonders to daydream about "buying a house in Chesterfield", especially since it was named "17th Best Place To Live In America" by the American City Business Journal. Chesterfield is an ideal place to invest in real estate or buy a home.
