One of the main reasons, apart from the climate and people, is the great shopping that you will find. Here are some awesome places in which you can shop ‘til you drop in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Curiosities is located at 242 Walnut Street and is in the curiosities business as the name suggests. You will be pleasantly surprised at the wide range of fun items that you will find here. The location is downtown and directly north of the Old Town Square. The store sells everything from children's toys to interesting bits and pieces to decorate your home. The shop has been around since 1996 and is fun shopping for people of all ages. This is a good place to find the ideal Christmas present.
You will find Perennial Gardner at 154 North College Ave. and anyone with an interest in gardening will love this place! One loyal customer says that he loves shopping at this place because it is sheer magic when it comes to outdoor gardening, bird houses, an excellent selection of books and a perfect place to shop for unusual gifts. During the holidays, they also have an outstanding selection of decorations and ornaments.
Reader’s Cove is situated on 1001 East Harmony Road, and as a locally owned bookstore which sells all kinds of new and used books and periodicals. Inside, the decor is a pirate theme and even features a pirate ship! Here you will also find Half Moon Coffee Company which is a popular rendezvous for networking groups in the area. Reader’s Cover is known for their many book signing and book-related activities as well. In the summer of 2010, this store did its little bit for environmental protection by joining the Compost Posse and reduce what they would send to the landfill by almost 100%. Even small businesses can make a difference.
The Cupboard on 152 South College Ave. is the largest kitchen store in all of Northern Colorado and has a mind-boggling array of products. You can find anything from cookbooks to glasses and there is an entire section that specializes in tea. This is the paradise for foodies and gourmets and you are sure to find whatever appeals to your taste. They have a state-of-the-art kitchen in which you can take cooking lessons and this place has been a favorite in Fort Collins since its opening in 1972.
