Denver, Colorado has a wonderful amusement park located right in the heart of the downtown area called Elitch Gardens Theme & Water Park. Known as "Elitch's" this amusement park is loved by people of all ages and hosts some of the most fun seasonal events the city has to offer. The park holds seasonal hours and is open from late April to just after Halloween where they close out the year with their insanely popular Fright Fest.
The main amusement park is known for its huge rollercoaster rides like the Twister, Sidewinder and Mind Eraser. The Twister II was designed to resemble the Elitch’s first wooden rollercoaster that helped to make the park so popular in the first place. Sidewinder is an arrow dynamics shuttle loop roller coaster that promises adventure around every twist and turn. The Mind Eraser is a suspended loop coaster that was built in 1997 which has riders hanging beneath the track with their legs dangling in the air.
